Day 1 Module 1 – Mediation in Context in Ireland

The goal of Module 1 is to put Mediation as a dispute resolution process in its proper regulatory and legislative context in Ireland.

Day 3 – Family Mediation Training

The objectives of the next two days of training are to provide candidates with further practical mediation training and how to apply this specifically in the context of family mediation. The legal context of family mediation is explored, and the different models  are introduced. The role plays will from now on focus solely on family mediation scenarios, and the skills that are required of a family mediator.

Day 4: – Practical Family Mediation Training

All of today’s training will take the form of role plays with subsequent discussion and analysis. Both sole mediation and co-mediation scenarious shall be explored. While the individual role plays shall have a main set of issues as their subject matter, they are all designed to build the various skills that are required in family mediation.
